Storytelling
Meet our dynamic team of students who introduced the campus to BrewBot. Drawing on the experience of Advertising & Public Relations and Interactive Media students from the Hussman School of Journalism & Media, our team devised a plan to captivate UNC students. Each member brought unique skills to the table, from graphic design to social media savvy, ensuring a cohesive and impactful campaign. Our passion for storytelling resulted in BrewBot not just being a product, but a symbol of student innovation and convenience on UNC Chapel Hill’s campus.
Design
The Design Team played a pivotal role in bringing BrewBot to life with a user-centered approach. The team focused on creating an engaging website using Wix while collaborating on setting up a storefront through Square to facilitate BrewBot orders. High-fidelity mock-ups were designed to visualize the user experience, and the team worked closely with the Storytelling Team to ensure cohesive branding and messaging. Additionally, motion graphics were utilized to animate BrewBot's face, creating expressive features that synchronized with BrewBot's coffee-making arms for a truly interactive and enjoyable experience.

As students, we break free from conventional thinking and leverage our creativity and critical thinking skills to develop innovative solutions that exceed expectations.
We are particularly excited about the opportunity to integrate Square's POS API into our website, as it aligns perfectly with our commitment to delivering high-quality results. Our focus on continuous learning and excellence ensures a seamless and exceptional user experience. Development
Robotics
The Robotics Team at BrewBot is responsible for programming all of Brew’s movements and activities. Our talented students teamed up to leverage their skills in development and 3D design to carefully craft a unique barista experience. Custom grippers were created just for Brew to be able to handle every cup of coffee with care, and all of the movements were recorded and put together with Google’s Blockly software. Our Robotics Team worked closely with the Development Team to ensure that BrewBot will be responsive, timely, and properly understand every single order.
The Robotics Team is an essential part of bringing BrewBot to life, and every member of the team is thrilled to help deliver an exciting café experience. We look forward to you experiencing everything that Brew is capable of!
